"MIDISelector" is free, open source software for selecting MIDI device instead of MIDI mapper. In Windows Vista / 7, MIDI mapper is abolished so we can't select default MIDI device and only use "Microsoft GS Wavetalbe Synth (MSGS)" to playback MIDI data. But, this software enables you to select any MIDI device, enjoy MIDI sound with your favorite module in Window Vista / 7.
Please note:
MIDISelector is made in Japan, therefore default GUI language is Japanese. Here shows two way to change to English.
(a) Push "Language" button and select "English" in the language dialog, and restart MIDISelector. If the menu gets character corruption, press [Alt]+[L], and you'll open the dialog.
(b) Open "MIDISelector.ini" in your text editor, change "UserInterface=Japanese" to "UserInterface=English", and then save it, and then execute MIDISelector.exe
